The concept behind the Assemblage coffee table can be summed up in one word: combination. The distinctive sculptural appearance of the coffee table is in fact the result of a combination of different shapes and, most of all, of materials that are not usually brought together, whose weight's perception is disrupted here: cork, which is lighter than wood, makes up the base and therefore looks like the heavy element which supports the table.
